Plant
The process involved, in order to reduce a complete truck tyre to a fine quality crumb, is a complex, difficult and energy consuming exercise. In choosing the plant it was imperative to get the right balance between throughput and quality in order to produce a product at a competitive price.
The final equipment chosen comprises primary and secondary shredders, classifiers and high speed granulators all designed to reduce a complete tyre to a range of products for a variety of end uses.
In order to produce a product of sufficient quality the inherent contaminants produced during the destruction of the tyre have to be removed. The shredders and granulators are complemented by a comprehensive system of magnetic separators and fibre extraction equipment to ensure that a clean product leaves the facility.
